The good, the amazing and the fun
We have some fun and amazing stories from our partners talking not only about
the benefits of their lottery but also about how easy it is to work alongside us.
the benefits of their lottery but also about how easy it is to work alongside us.

Firefighters 100 Lottery
"True to the spirit of our 100-year history, the FBU wanted to establish a fund to help firefighters, their bereaved families and others affected by fire.
"We wanted to raise funds in a regularly sustainable way and not only when disasters strike. We were also keen to do so in as ethical and socially responsible way as possible. We quickly realised the sensitivities, administration, technology and regulatory compliance involved in running a lottery were a minefield.
"Without Gatherwell’s support I doubt we would have succeeded in setting up our lottery at all and we would not be raising the funds we are today to help firefighters and their bereaved families."

Funding more community projects
“The response to BH Coastal Lottery in Bournemouth has exceeded all expectations. The forecast is to raise £115,096.00 in its first year. Gatherwell, and the huge amount of advice and support, have made the process simple."

Supporting good causes
"Our members often find it tough to get regular, unrestricted income and GCVS wanted a way to help them. Most organisations wouldn't want to set up a lottery on their own, but because we can bring lots of organisations together it works beautifully."

How a small charity established a new source of income
"We are a small charity that relies on the support of local people and the lottery is giving us a way to raise much needed funds. We currently have 56 tickets a week, and are on our way to our target of 100 tickets a week which would bring in £2,600 per year."

The effect on your community
“With our budgets under increasing pressure from central government cuts, and local good causes also needing a boost, the Powys Lotto provides a great opportunity to help local good causes to raise additional money. Powys County Council are continuing our support to local community groups, but this will be a way of spreading the benefit to many more groups."
